T12 cold forming machine

Technology: Cold rolling
Type: External forming
Product description

The T12 cold rolling machine is the largest in our gear cutting machine range. It is especially suitable for knurling clutch hubs and other hollow parts, but it also easily forms large profiles on solid material.

Some key characteristics of parts produced with this process include excellent precision and surface finish, combined with the typical benefits of cold forming: cold work hardening, improved material microstructure, material savings, low distortion from hardening, and more.

The internally developed torque motor enables high-speed indexing of the workpiece, resulting in the shortest possible production cycle times.

Typical Applications

In addition to its primary application—cold forming grooves in sheet metal components—the universal and modular design concept of the T12 cold forming machine allows its use in other GROB processes, such as spinning and cold forming, impact stamping, or reducing. This includes forming large-module grooves on solid material workpieces.
